AEV News: Andrade finally updates on VVE release situation: ‘We can fight’
Earlier this year, Andrade parted ways with VVE yes rejoin forces with AEV.
However, after his shocking release from VVE and return to AEV Sixth anniversary of dynamite, he suddenly disappeared from televisionraising questions about his status. Rumors and reports soon surfaced that he had violated his VVE non-compete, which could result in a one-year non-compete.
Recently, Andrade told DeporTV in detail about his situation. Sharing how WWE started his non-compete clause following his return to AEV, he opened his will to “fight”.
“Initially I didn’t have (a) clause, I could have fought to leave VVE,” he said. “Then the clause came when they saw me make my AEV debut. Well, now it’s nothing but preparation and a normal day is waking up, having dinner, training, going to the beach, sunbathing, sunbathing, more than anything, not thinking about it.”
“We can argue, we can go to court, but the lawyers told me that the process might be longer. It’s also an expense, a process, and they’re trying to negotiate to avoid going to court. They reached a good deal and they’re doing better. I think I have a date and my lawyer too, but it remains for VVE to officially sign off to say ‘It’s OK today.’
The former champion also shared a realistic report on his comeback status. “The contract I signed, the lawyer didn’t implement the 12-month no-bid clause and they took that clause from there,” Andrade said. “We’re in that phase right now. It wouldn’t be a year; we’re negotiating. I’ll be inactive for 3 months and I can’t compete worldwide.”
He also claimed that with the negotiations, his return could be delayed by a month or even a week. Andrade was released from WWE on September 13, 2025, but returned to AEV on October 1, 2025, in the episode Dynamite.

Also in the interview, Andrade answered the long-awaited reason for his departure to VVE. Addressing both personal and professional reasons, the 36-year-old shared his answer.
“I came back to WWE a year and a half ago. I was in AEV, and then I was happy to make millions, but I was married. My ex-wife’s name is Charlotte Flair, and the idea was to come back to WWE, to be with her, and many things happened,” he explained.
It is currently unknown when fans will be able to see Andrade’s return.
