Insider releases picture of Drake May after Matthew Stafford day
The New England Patriots have been some of the best football teams in the league this season, and that may have come as a surprise to many. One the reason for their success is Drake May and the way he’s taken the offense to heights they may not have seen since Tom Brady was on the team. His play has put him in the MVP conversation, and there’s no question he should be at the top of the ladder.
They will have competition, like Matthew Stafford made a compelling case to win the award this season, especially since he had the Los Angeles Rams atop the NFC. Well, everyone knows this is a league where you can be on top one week and then the next week it can all fall apart.
That’s what happened to Stafford this week against the Carolina Panthers, where he threw three interceptions, one of which was a pick-six. His chances for the MVP probably fell after such a performance, and that of an insider posted the perfect picture to illustrate the race.

If Maye is able to put on a strong performance against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, an argument can be made that he leapfrogs Stafford in the MVP race.
Of course, there is still plenty of time in the season for things to change, so nothing will be decided this week. At the same time, if May can play well now and continue to do so as the season ends, it could be a tough contest.
Maie has really stepped up this season, and he shares the wealth among his receivers. It was hard to say the Patriots had a true No. 1 receiver because they all play. To add to their strong offense, their defense was one of the best in the league.
