Chris Paul receives Hall of Fame endorsement from Heat’s Erik Spoelstra

Before Thanksgiving, Chris Paul announced that he will retire at the end of this year. He will do it as a member Los Angeles Clippersfor which he played from 2011-2017.
He hasn’t officially pulled the curtain, but he’s already getting his due Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra. On Monday, as the Clippers play the Heat in Paul’s final game in Miami, Spoelstra he said without hesitation that Paul was meant to be yes be seduced among the greats, according to Zach Weinberger of ClutchPoints.
“Brilliant, Hall of Fame player,” he said.
“Brilliant, Hall of Famer.”

Currently the Clippers have a 5-15 record. Meanwhile, Paul is averaging 2.6 points and 3.3 assists in 15 games so far. In his final season, Paul assumed a reserve role and played fewer minutes.
Ever since he announced his retirement, Pavle received an abundance of good wishes from players and coaches alike. Paul (40) has been in the NBA since 2006, when he won the Rookie of the Year title. In total, he has 12 NBA All-Star selections, 9 NBA All-Defensive Team selections, 2 Olympic gold medals and a spot on the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
Reasons why Chris Paul is a surefire Hall of Famer
Currently, Paul is second on the all-time assists and steals list behind John Stockton. In total, he has 12,549 assists and 2,726 steals. Additionally, he holds the record for most steals with a total of six.
Paul also led the league in assists five times. In his time, he has mastered the art of running a place efficiently. He was characterized as a “floor general” with a masterful basketball IQ who could control the tempo of the game.
He was also instrumental in turning the Clippers into a playoff-caliber team with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan during what became known as the “Lob City” era. All of which helps explain why Paul will one day be among the greats in Springfield, Massachusetts.
