Michael Porter Jr. has a hilarious reaction to Danny Woof’s poster dunk over Miles Bridges

Brooklyn Nets newcomer Danny Wolf does the most his first extended NBA opportunity. After scoring a game-high 22 points off the bench in Saturday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the big man provided another exciting moment on Monday.

Wolf threw a poster dunk over Miles Bridges during the fourth quarter of Brooklyn’s 1116-103 win over Charlotte Hornets. The viral highlight shocked several rookie Nets teammates, including Michael Porter Jr., who shared why the dunk caught him off guard.

“(It’s) a white guy,” Porter Jr. said. with a laugh. “No, I’m playing. Danny has been showing since training camp. I’ve said many times that Danny is one of my favorite rookies I’ve ever played with and seen. From the first day of training camp, he surprised me with his ability to handle the ball, the way he moves quickly on his feet, the way he can pass and shoot. So it was my first time on the floor with him.

After a slow start, Wolff was among Brooklyn’s key players during Monday’s win.

Danny Wolf continues to impress during his first extended NBA opportunity with the Nets

The 21-year-old scored all 10 of his points in the fourth quarter on 4-of-6 shooting. He added five rebounds and an assist in 12 minutes during the final frame. His dunk over Bridges was the exclamation mark for the Nets’ first home win of the season.

“It felt great,” the rookie said of the game. “Against Milwaukee, there was another opportunity to do that, and I laid the ball up (instead). Before today’s game, I said I was going to try to body or try to dunk on somebody. I said that as a joke. But I kind of looked at it as an opportunity, and just kind of trying to attack the rim. And I did it again, and I did it again.

Wolff was the only one of the Nets’ five rookies still playing extended NBA minutes before last weekend. However, the following productive stint in the G LeagueThe No. 27 pick has impressed in Brooklyn’s last three games, averaging 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists on .444/.429/.875 shooting in 20.8 minutes a night.

Wolff’s performance may have cemented his place in the team’s NBA rotation going forward.

“Obviously, when you come to the NBA, you don’t know exactly the details of what you’re getting yourself into,” he said. “I look back at the first month, and you don’t get a chance. You sit on the bench and you just have that itch to play. I think when I went to Long Island, the coach and the front office told me what you can get out of it is how you look at it. I said that from day one. Credit to a lot of guys that gave me that mindset to look at that spot and I went there. work on my game and get reps.

“It’s just getting ready for your opportunity. I’m just trying to do the little things. And I think these last two and a half, three games I’ve kind of done what I can… (Now) it’s just kind of going through me and continuing to improve and I know I just have to keep working to get what I want.”
