Which Bradon Jennings believes triggered Giannis’ dysfunction

The Milwaukee Bucks they are facing increasing scrutiny this season and ex-quarterback Brandon Jennings now joined the discussion. Speaking of the Bucks at Gil’s Arena with the host Gilbert ArenasJennings questioned recent roster moves and overall direction Bucks around Giannis Antetokounmpo. The comments added another layer to the NBA players’ ongoing analysis of a franchise that once looked like a long-term title lock.

In an appearance shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), the show aired a segment with Jennings. Former Bucks guard explained why he believes things have gone wrong in Milwaukee, suggesting the team hasn’t built a strong enough supporting cast around its superstar and is relying on him to cover too many questions.

“The Bucks (are) just trying to find ways to win. … Right now, it’s all over the place, and the team just isn’t good. Giannis is 90% of the team.”

The former guard and player’s words carry extra weight because of his connection to the franchise. Jennings was drafted by the Bucks in 2009 and helped them return to the postseason early in his career, which gives him a unique lens on how the organization handles pressure and expectations. The comments come after several high-profile Bucks roster moves, including the firing of Mike Budenholzer, the hiring of Doc Rivers and the hit of Damian Lillard, all of which changed the way the team operates around Antetokounmpo.

These decisions are believed to contribute to why the Bucks, who are currently 9-13, are now trying to regroup as they attempt to knock off the Detroit Pistons after trailing by double digits in the first quarter. The team has not advanced past the first round since the 2021-2022 NBA season, when it defeated the Chicago Bulls before falling to the Boston Celtics in the second round. That stretch of early departures, combined with inconsistent roster construction, has only increased the pressure on Milwaukee to rediscover the stability and edge that once made them a title contender.
