Denver gets more injury information for Hawks clash



The Denver Nuggets and the Atlanta Hawks will meet on Friday night. Denver has multiple players on the injury report.

Spencer Jones is currently on the suspect list due to a contusion of the right knee. Aaron Gordon, who is dealing with a right hamstring strainremains out of the game. In addition to Gordon, the following players will not play Friday night: Christian Brown (sprained left ankle), Julian Strother (lower back injury management), Tamar Bates (two-way G League) and DaRon Holmes II (G League on assignment).

The The Hawks also have to monitor injuriesas Jalen Johnson (right calf strain) and Kristaps Porzingis (return to rehab) are both listed as questionable and among eight Hawks on the injury report.

Denver will enter the game with a 15-6 record this season, which will put them in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray continue to lead the way as the Nuggets look to compete in the West.

As for the Hawks, Atlanta is currently 13-10 and in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hawks are doing everything they can to stay competitive despite that Trae Young was out with an injury.

The Nuggets last beat the Indiana Pacers 135-120 on Wednesday night, while the Hawks were defeated 115-92 by the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. However, Atlanta hosts Denver on Friday night and an upset is certainly not out of the question.

Tip-off for the Nuggets-Hawks game in Atlanta is set for Friday night at 7:30pm EST.
