Tyler Hero’s MRI results will draw attention from Miami fans

With The Miami Heat are suffering from a brutal loss against the Orlando Magic on Friday night, the team looks for a comeback win against the Sacramento Kings in the second game of a back-to-back on Saturday. As Heat star Tyler Hero missed the game with a toe injuryhe was scheduled to undergo an MRI on Saturday, and the results show the severity of the problem.
ClutchPoints will learn that an MRI revealed a right toe contusion and it will be listed as “suspicious” for the matchup with the Kings. He’ll also be treated as “day-to-day,” a good sign that it’s not a long-term layoff for the quarterback who has played in five games this season, coming back from offseason ankle surgery.
He would suffer a toe injury in last Wednesday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks near the end of the first quarter on a one-and-one play where he collided with D’Angelo Russell.
“I know about as much as you do,” Herro said after Friday’s shootout, via the Miami Herald. “I’m day-to-day right now. I’m not really sure what happened. I had a little pain in my big toe. Apparently, I got kicked like in the first quarter the other night in the butt. And then I woke up and my big toe hurt.”
For Herr, the toe injury adds to a disappointing season for him as he doesn’t like to miss games.
“I was already disappointed to start the season,” Hero continued, talking about missing games earlier. “So this doesn’t really change much.”
Either way, it remains to be seen how long Hero will be out, as after Saturday, Miami embarks on a four-game road trip, returning on Dec. 23 against the Toronto Raptors.
