Bam Adebayo’s bittersweet reaction to making history at the Magic Loss

When Asdebayo scored his 14th point Friday night, he passed Glenn Rice for the top three in Miami history in scoring, finishing with a game-high 27 points to give him 9,259 career points. The only two ahead of him are Alonzo Mourning with 9,459 points, which he is very likely to reach in the coming weeks, but the top spot is a long way off, with Dwyane Wade’s 21,556 points.

Still, this is a bittersweet moment for Adebayo, who was speechless when he heard the turning pointalthough he would have liked it to have won.

Obviously, to be able to go past them and bring them back to the present day. I’m pretty sure at some point when I see Glenn, he’s going to give me a big hug. That’s my guy. That’s a great thing.”

Warmth Erik Spoelstra on the “unbelievable” mark reached by Bam Adebayo

Either way, Adebayo looks to chase Mourning while leading Miami back into the win column, with their next opportunity coming Saturday night against the Sacramento Kings.
