James Harden joins the top 10 scorers in history

Doc Kevin Durant just passed 31,000 points in his career and to get closer to Wilt Chamberlain, James Harden used meeting against Wukov to enter the top 10 scorers in history.
Before this match, he was 21 points short of surpassing Carmelo Anthony’s total (28,289). Harden scored 19 in the first half before capped by two free throws late in the 3rd quarter. In the end, Harden scored 34 points, bringing his career total to 28,303 points.

“It’s a privilege and a testament to the work I’ve done,” Harden responded after another defeat of the Clippers. “It’s an honor, especially with someone like Melo, who has brought so much to this league.”
If he keeps up his pace, Harden should quickly overtake Shaquille O’Neal, who is ninth with 28,596 points. On the other hand, it will be complicated to overtake Kevin Durant, eighth with 31,051 points.
“When we look at this list, we say to ourselves it’s not possible. I never thought I could be on this list. It’s literally a dream come true.” confided this week about his entry into the Top 10, before recalling that there are only three guards in this Top 10: Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and himself.
“I think there’s only two guards, Kobe and Michael. And they were flying. … I always played the floor. That’s another reason I’m proud of myself, because I had to figure out how to get around people. … I was looking at the roster, and all these guys are a lot bigger than me, a lot more athletic than me.” he concludes.
