Jaylen Brown breaks Scotty Barnes’ ankles with a nasty step back
Jailen Brown created a wonderful climax against Scottie Barnes during Boston Celtics match against Toronto Raptors on Sunday afternoon.
Brown is coming off his 10th NBA season, all with the Celtics. This campaign was unique because he accepted the responsibility of being the leading scorer with Jayson Tatum on the sidelines rehabbing from a torn Achilles.
Brown has impressed all season long, putting together another highlight reel for his mixtape against the Raptors’ Barnes. The play came midway through the fourth quarter as Brown took a step back this caused Barnes to go backwards in an awkward way. Brown followed this up by knocking down an easy mid-range jumper.

Boston excelled during the first half, taking a 77-59 halftime lead. Although Toronto fought back to cut the deficit to single digits, the Celtics made enough plays down the stretch to fend off a rally.

Five players scored in double figures for Boston in the win, including Brown. He dominated with 30 points, eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and a block. He shot 9-of-19 from the field, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and 9-of-9 from the free throw line. Next is Derrick White with 27 points and five assists, Peyton Pritchard with 15 points and six assists, Anferni Simons with 12 points and three rebounds, while Nimias Keta scored 11 points and 11 rebounds.

With five straight wins, the Celtics will be looking forward to their next game, as they are on the road. They face the Milwaukee Bucks on December 11th at 8:00 PM ET.
