Rich Paul is launching a new show with Bill Simmons’ The Ringer despite a previous beef

Rich Paul may have achieved a total estimated net worth of over $100 million through Klutch Sports and various entrepreneurial initiatives he was involved before. However, this does not mean that it is out of the move, because it marks its entry into podcast world alongside Bill Simmons and Max Kellerman.
Titled “Game Over,” the podcast will be released first on Spotify and then on Netflix. However, the dynamics between the hosts attracted further attention.

Max Kellerman has been largely silent since his departure from ESPN in 2023 and has yet to publicly disclose the details surrounding his exit from First Take. Stephen A. Smith went on to address their aftermath, which positions Kellerman’s return as both a return and a story.
However, the past tension between Simmons and Paul may be even more troubling. Their past friction stemmed from Simmons’ criticism of LeBron James’ 2010 special “The Decision” and Paul’s departure from Creative Artists Agency in 2012.
Both are now describing the dispute as a misunderstanding quickly resolved once they spoke directly.
“The whole thing was pretty stupid. I didn’t like the way he left CAA and he didn’t like that I never asked his side of the story. One of us should have just called the other. Shit happens. We worked it out in 10 minutes over fries,” Simmons told Vanity Fair.
The show aims to differentiate itself from the crowded sports media space by leveraging both Paul’s insider access as one of the NBA’s most influential agents and Kellerman’s long tenure as a high-profile sports broadcaster. The format will mirror existing conversational sports podcasts, but is positioned as broader in scope, covering culture and personal stories alongside sports.
Kellerman intends to address his exit from ESPN and disagreements with Steven A. Smith in the show. Game Over is expected to include guests from the NBA and the wider entertainment sphere, given Paul and Kellerman’s connections in the industry.
