Devin Booker’s practice video is getting attention before the Lakers game
Devin Booker suffered a groin injury in Phoenix Suns‘ A 125-109 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 1. The team has been without their star quarterback since then, as he nursed an injury for several weeks. However, a new video shows Booker looking great ahead of Sunday’s game against LA
In the video, the 29-year-old shooting guard he moved fluidly while running drills in practice, says AZ Central’s Duane Rankin. Booker isn’t technically cleared to play in the Suns’ next game, but he’s undoubtedly looking good in practice.
Phoenix is 14-11 so far this season and has gone 1-2 in its last three games without Devin Booker in the lineup. Those are the only three games he’s missed, and the Suns have missed a four-time All-Star presence on the court. In 22 games played in 2025-26, Booker averaged 25.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game while shooting 45.7% from the field and 31.5% from the three-point line.
With Phoenix being a bit of a rollercoaster this season, Colin Gillespie has stepped up significantly for the Suns. Even Devin Booker was impressed with his game, as the former Villanova star looks like a solid point guard for this team.
More Booker updates are sure to come. The Suns don’t play the Lakers until 8:00 PM EST on Sunday. That gives the club plenty of time to assess Booker throughout the day before determining his matchday status.
