NBA: LeBron James and Dillion Brooks clash as LA Lakers beat Phoenix Suns
LeBron James scored 26 points and went head-to-head with Dillon Brooks as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns 116-114 on Sunday.
The Lakers were up by 20 points in the fourth quarter when the Suns stormed back to take a one-point lead with 12 seconds left on a 3-pointer by Brooks.
In a frantic ending to the game in Phoenix, Brooks then hit James, drew his second technical foul of the night and was ejected.
James, 40, missed a technical free throw but was fouled on a three-point attempt by the Suns’ Devin Booker and made two of three free throws with three seconds left to put the Lakers back in front.
“It’s the NBA, no boys allowed,” James said of his clash with Brooks, 29.
