Deuce McAllister details ‘hurt’ by Lana Kiffin departure

Ole Miss soccer has a big game coming up this week as they face Tulane in the College Football Playoff. Unfortunately, they will be doing it without one of the key pieces that helped them get there, which was him Lane Kiffin. The head coach made the decision to leave the program a few weeks ago became LSU’s new head coachand many still haven’t gotten over that move.
One of the people still thinking about leaving is Deuce McAllister, the former New Orleans Saints quarterback who went to college at Ole Miss. McAllister may speak for most people at Ole Miss when he says yes it was hurt which came along with Kiffin’s departure from the program.
“Right away, there’s contempt, there’s anger, there’s anger, any other nasty word. Most of all, there’s hurt,” McAllister said via . “Because you thought there was trust. You thought there was genuine trust and genuine concern. And not to say there wasn’t. It just didn’t work out that way. In the long run, you can’t take away success.”
For some people, his decision made them see him for what they thought he was. Mary Ryan, who works at the Cat Daddy clothing store, had her own thoughts on Kiffin and thinks he’s a snake.
“I think he’s kind of an egomaniac, that’s come out in the last couple of weeks,” Ryan said. “But it’s happened before with other jobs he’s left. I think everyone realizes he’s a snake. For a second we believed he changed. I don’t think anyone believes that anymore.”
It’s clear that Ole Miss still feels some way about Kiffin’s departure, and it could hurt them even more depending on the outcome of their game against Tulane.
