Jamal Murray is not here because of Ime Udoka’s complaints about the referees after the wild finish

On Monday evening, The Denver Nuggets are finally done their surprising four-game losing streak at home with a narrow win over the Houston Rockets. The win was not without controversy, as the Nuggets benefited from several questionable calls down the stretch, including a foul before a late pass that allowed Denver a free throw that sent the game into overtime.
After the game, the head coach of the Rockets Making Udoka put the referee crew on blast.
“Worst game I’ve seen in a long time. Two of them have no business being there and the crew chief was a star performer,” Udoka said, per ESPN’s Vanessa Richardson on X, formerly Twitter.
Now, Nuggets guard Jamal Murray is responding to those comments.
“I mean, it’s a physical game. It’s hard for the refs to call both sides, even dead ends. I think they missed some calls on our end, and they missed some calls on their end, so I don’t think that was an issue tonight,” Murray said, per Bennett Durando of the Denver Post .
All in all, the Nuggets are sure to win, especially after inexplicably dropping home games to lowly teams like the Dallas Mavericks, Chicago Bulls, and Sacramento Kings this year.
Denver is now 19-6, good for second in the Western Conference, and Nikola Jokic continues to play at an MVP level. On Monday, Joker dropped 39 points with 15 rebounds and 10 assists, and also delivered some clutch shots down the stretch to help in overtime, where he was ultimately eliminated from the contest.
Either way, the Nuggets will now have two days off before taking to the floor Thursday night at home against the Orlando Magic. That game is scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM ET at the Ball Arena in Denver.
