Chandler Parsons calls Cade Cunningham the best point guard in the NBA

The Detroit Pistons they have easily been the biggest surprise of the season so far, currently on top Eastern Conference with a record of 21-5 so far. And much of the credit belongs Cade Cunninghamwho is chasing his second All-Star appearance of the campaign.

Cunningham was one of the best point guards in the NBA this season, averaging 27.1 points, 9.2 assists and six rebounds per game. For Chandler Parsonshowever, Cunningham was undeniably the best.

“They’re both fantastic. I don’t mean to insult Jaylen Brown, I just think Cade Cunningham is by far the best point guard in the NBA. I think he could be a starter for Team USA. I think he’s that good,” Parsons explained on Run it back.

Cunningham once again set the tone for Detroit, delivering a complete, authoritative performance against Boston. The guard finished with 32 points and 10 rebounds, controlling the game on both ends as Detroit finished with a 112–105 victory at TD Garden.

Cunningham’s scoring efficiency stood out against an elite defensive opponent. He shot 11 of 21 from the field and knocked down six 3-pointers, answering Boston’s runs multiple times in a game that featured 15 lead changes.

Beyond the raw numbers, Cunningham’s game management underscored his evolution into a true center. Detroit trailed by as many as 12 points in the second quarter, but Cunningham helped Detroit make a late surge to secure its fourth straight victory.

“We like these kinds of games – hard, muddy ones. When that happens, it lifts us a little more,” he said after the victory, according to Nevs18.

While the 24-year-old himself seemed reluctant to sing his praises, Cunningham’s impact at both ends of the pitch was particularly important, and he remained prominent throughout. The Pistons have now won four games on the trot and will now take on the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center.
