Atlanta makes decision on Tree Young ahead of imminent return

Atlanta Hawks fans were counting down the days until peak season Trae Young is back in the lineup from his MCL sprain suffered earlier this season. The Hawks made it to hold down the fort in his absence, currently sitting just a game out of third place in the Eastern Conference, but the team would still like to have the general back in a uniform again.
The team announced on Wednesday latest update about Yang’s comeback process.
“The Atlanta Hawks announced today that guard Trae Young has been recalled to the Hawks from the College Park Skyhawks,” reported Hawks PR on X, formerly Twitter.
It was announced earlier this week that Young would return to practice, after which he was assigned to the G League in College Park, and now he is back with the team for Wednesday’s practice.
In the video, Lauren L. The AJC’s Williams showed Young shooting around after practice with some of his Hawks teammates.

Overall, the Hawks have seen Jalen Johnson emerge as a legitimate star so far this year, and it will be interesting to see how his role adjusts with Young back in the lineup.
Meanwhile, Atlanta is hoping the likes of Dyson Daniels and Zachary Rizacher can turn things around after rough starts to the season offensively for both players.
Either way, the Hawks will next take the floor Thursday night on the road against the Southeast Division rival Charlotte Hornets with tip-off at 7:00 PM ET.
