Ja Morant, Zach Edey among 9 players suspended against Washington

With Memphis Grizzlies young center Zach Edey is looking to return from injuryjoins a long list of players on the team who have been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards. As Grizzlies star Ja Morant is also dealing with an injuryhe will also miss Saturday’s competition, which does not even cover a third of those missing from the team.
The the latest injury report reveals that nine players will be ruled out for Memphis as Morant, Edei, GG Jackson II, Ti Jerome, John Konchar, Jahmai Mashack, Scotti Pippen Jr., Javon Small and Vince Williams Jr. include absences, via Brett Seigel of ClutchPoints.
Edei has played in 11 games so far this season, having missed a good chunk of it with an ankle injury. It was reported over a week ago, it was announced that it would be reassessed in about four weeksaccording to Seigel. He averaged 13.6 points and 11.1 rebounds per game while shooting 63.3 percent from the field.
As for Morant, he is dealing with a sprained left ankle and averaged 17.7 points, 7.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 35.7 percent from the field and 19.4 percent from deep.
