Chris Finch raves about Mike Conley’s role in narrow win against Bucks
Chris Finch had high praise to share Mike Conley following Minnesota The Timberwolves beat the Milwaukee Bucks 103-100 on Sunday night.
Conley is in his 19th NBA season, his fourth with the Timberwolves. At 38, he’s entering the twilight of his career, looking to compete for a championship with Minnesota after two straight West Finals appearances.
However, Conley has been sidelined for almost the last two weeks with an Achilles injury. He returned to the court against Milwaukee with six points, six assists, five rebounds and two blocks in 24 minutes of action.
Finch reflected on the performance of the veteran guard after the game, according to reporter Dana Moore. He expressed relief that Conley is back in the rotation, hoping to increase his workload over time.
“That’s still Mike. I know we only play him 15, 16 minutes, but he’s certainly capable of more. And it’s good to have him back,” Finch said.
