‘Santa Claus’ Kawhi Leonard gives LA fans a gift of 41 points

Santa came to town a little earlier Kawhi Leonard he led Los Angeles Clippers past the Houston Rockets, 128-108, at the Intuit Dome on Tuesday.

Leonard definitely was anything but pretty for the Rocketsexploding for 41 points on 16-of-23 from the field. He also added eight rebounds and five assists as he picked up the Clippers’ eighth win of the season.

The past few weeks have been challenging for the Clippers, which is a result of the controversial departure of Chris Paul. Their back-to-back wins, however, may be the beginning of something good for Leonardo and company.

He had a lot of support against the Rockets, James Harden had 29 points, four rebounds and six assists, and John Collins had 13 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks.

Fans showered 34-year-old Leonard with praise after his impressive outing.

Leonard remains one of the league’s most potent weapons when healthy. His time with the Clippers is full of issues and what-ifs, but he’s still the team’s best chance to get over the hump, as evidenced by his 40 against Houston.
