Stefon Diggs reveals which NE teammate should have been a Pro Bowler

The The 2026 Pro Bowl rosters have been released! The New England Patriots will have two representatives at the annual All-Star festivities. Quarterback Drake May and cornerback Christian Gonzalez were selected to represent the Patriots in the annual games. However, if you ask the Pats, at least one other player should have been in the games.

Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs was asked about the Patriots All-Pro selection and whether he thinks the team deserves more players in games. Diggs reiterated that the Pats were focused on the Super Bowl, but that he felt cornerback Marcus Jones he deserved to be in the Pro Bowl as well.

“I don’t think anybody cares about that,” Diggs told reporters, according to Carlos A. Lopez. “Personally, I think Marcus Jones should have been in the Pro Bowl … (But), we kind of focused on something bigger.”

With the Patriots fighting for the top seed in the AFC, fans expected the team to have more Pro Bowlers than other teams. However, New England only had two Pro Bowlers. That’s not much compared to other teams, which had five or six players voted into the Pro Bowl.

Jones would be a deserving Pro Bowl selection. The Patriots cornerback is one of the best corners in the league, ranking 25th among all corners according to PFF. Jones has three interceptions this season and 11 passes defensed this season, the perfect second cornerback next to the elite Gonzalez.

Regardless of how Patriots fans feel about Marcus Jones’ fickleness, New England should feel good about this season. The Patriots have had a major resurgence this season, not only taking control of the AFC East, but competing for the top seed in the entire conference. Behind an elite defense and an explosive offense led by Drake May, the Pats are on a warpath in the postseason.
