Anthony Davis’ absence should not last more than a few games
Exit fromAnthony Davis had cause for concern, the pivot left the field without bothering to play the last ball on the counter-attack and eventually returned to the dressing room, visibly in pain.
The return of the Mavs medical staff was expected yesterday, and after Shams Charaniafrom ESPN, “AD” should get away with a layoff that shouldn’t last forever. A victim of a strained groin, the Mavericks interior will be re-evaluated on a daily basis and therefore could be back on the court fairly quickly.
The franchise, however, could again take every precaution before returning him to the field, with Anthony Davis remaining potential bargaining chip given the “trade deadline” in a month and a half. First of all, this is the 13th time in his career that he has been injured in this area!
Arriving from the Lakers a few months ago, Anthony Davis hasn’t really proven himself in Dallas, mostly due to injuries. Coming back from an ab issue, he injured his adductors in his first match in Texas. He has already missed 14 games this season due to a left calf injury…
