Raptors revive Mo Bamba
Here he is again Mo Bamba in the league, after all ESPN says he has accepted to engage with Raptors for one year, likely at the minimum salary, in what will be his eighth NBA season.
In search of reinforcement (and centimeters) from the inside, the Canadian franchise therefore trusts the 27-year-old pivot, drafted in 2018 (6th pick) and mostly passed through Orlando, before multiplying unconvincing free agents in Los Angeles (Lakers and Clippers), Philadelphia and New Orleans.
Mo Bamba made his last appearance in the league last spring, with the Pelicans. This fall he was passed through jazz before being aborted just before restarting. That didn’t stop him from staying in Utah, playing in the G-League with the Salt Lake City Stars (about 17 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks on average).
While Jakob Poeltl and Collin Murray-Boiles are in the infirmary, Toronto needed to assist Scotty Barnes, Sandro Mamukelasvili and Jonathan Mogbo in the paint.
