The Mavericks are pushing envelopes to trade Derek Lively II and Dante Exum
THE Mavericks have been struggling since the beginning of the season and we must not forget that except for the absence Kyrie Irvinghave been deprived of two important players for their rotation until the end of this financial year 2025/26: Derek Lively II etc Dante Ecum.
The first, operated on his right leg, has been out since then three weeks now. The other, he he didn’t even start his seasondue to two knee surgeries, one in the summer and the other in November.
So much so that managers have just requested two “disabled player exemptions”, for a playmaker and a pivot, Marc Stein teaches us. These envelopes will not represent crazy sums as they are calculated on 50% of the salary of the players in question.
Dante Exum is making just $2.2 million, and Derek Lively II barely more at $5.2 million this season. That could result in checks of 1.1 million and 2.6 million. However, if given to the Mavericks, these envelopes can be used in transfers. And we know that rumors surrounding Anthony Davis they have been around for a few days now…
