Luka Doncic openly answers the question of whether LeBron James had more repetitions on the ball
After a 128-106 loss to the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić gave an interesting answer to a question regarding off-the-ball plays for LeBron James. James didn’t hold back on the Lakers’ shortcomings during his postgame media availability, telling reporters how the Lakers need to figure things out as a team. In a game where the Pistons forced 20 turnovers, Doncic kept his responses to a minimum after the loss.
When a reporter asked Doncic about potentially keeping the ball in James’ hands more often in an attempt to limit turnovers, Doncic was blunt in his responseaccording to The Athletic’s Lion Murray.
Too many turnovers,” Doncic said. “I have to stop losing the ball.”
Luka Dončić, who led the team in scoring and assists, flirted with a triple-double (30 points, 11 assists, eight turnovers) that included almost double-digit turnovers. James finished with 17 points, four rebounds and five turnovers.
JJ Redick complains about Pistons fouling after Lakers loss

While he is the head coach of the Lakers JJ Redick complained about the Pistons fouling in Tuesday’s loss, LeBron James says his team’s struggles extend beyond bad officiating. With key players missing through injury, including himself and Austin Reeves, James says that doesn’t make things any easier.
however, no excuses for the poor play, James said, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
“We haven’t had a full team all year,” James said. “We just had some very important guys out. And obviously I started the year off. And our All-Star, 2-guard (Austin Reeves) is out, and Rui (Hachimura) is out now. And Gabe (Vincent is) out for a minute. Jackson (Hayes) just came back. It was a lot to come in and put in. on the floor with guys you know you’re going to play with every night.
“But there are still no excuses. We still have to go out there and execute. … The better team won tonight.”
The Lakers will host the Grizzlies at Cripto.com Arena on Friday.
