Jalen Suggs improved the injury report against the Pacers which also includes Desmond Bain


They go to the New Year’s game against the Indiana Pacers, status Orlando Magic guards Jalen Suggs and Desmond Bane remains uncertain. Suggs has a left hip contusionand Bane is dealing with back spasms; both are listed as questionable in Magic injury report. Both could miss Wednesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers.

Suggs has missed seven straight games with a hip injury, as his questionable status is encouraging news ahead of Wednesday’s game. Bain finished with 18 points in a 107-106 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Monday. The Magic have won every other game they’ve played since a 128-107 overtime win against the Utah Jazz on Dec. 20.

They are 3-3 in their last six games. The Magic are 18-15 in the regular season.

Before the injury report came out on Wednesday, Desmond Bain is an impressive shot off the board against the Raptors was one of the most memorable performances of the evening. Bane finished with 18 points, six rebounds and three assists in the one-point loss. Anthony Black led the way with 27 points on 9-for-19 shooting, including a pair of 3-pointers, three assists and three rebounds.

With 11.2 seconds to play and facing a one-point deficit, Magic All-Star Paolo Banchero missed the game-winning three-pointer as the Raptors sealed the victory. The Magic fell to an 18-15 record.

With Jalen Suggs and Bain’s status still up in the air, the Magic will face the Pacers on the road on Wednesday.
