Hurricanes hit Julian Saiin for a 70-yard pick-6

Hurricanes have capitalized off to an aggressive start, with the defense stepping in front of a Buckeye pass to turn it into a 6. The Miami soccer player maintained control in the second half College Football Playoff Cotton Bowl, leading 17-7 over Ohio State as play resumed in Arlington.

The Hurricanes extended their lead to 17–7 early in the third quarter with a field goal after building momentum on their defensive effort and controlling field position. Ohio State then took possession looking to answer, relying heavily on the running game to establish rhythm and sustain momentum. Running back Bo Jackson had nine carries in the series, consistently moving the chains and giving the Buckeyes an offensive spark as they worked to apply pressure and look for another score to close the gap and get on the scoreboard.

Miami’s defense remained activeapplying pressure and working to limit explosive play while protecting a two-point lead. With the Buckeyes back on offense, they look to build their offense from the field as Miami tries to maintain control late in the quarter.
