The Warriors end the year on a high note in Charlotte
After an offensive fireworks display in the first half that saw the Warriors return to the locker room an impressive 13-of-24 on 3-pointers, but only a five-point lead Hornets also skillful (69-64), things settled down early in the third quarter.
After Stephen Curry and Moses Moody, Golden State starts the second half with a 10-0 run and takes a 15-point lead (79-64).
The Dubs then take their foot off the gas and the Hornets take advantage. As in the first half, they took advantage of the opposing team’s turnovers to get back on track and reverse the trend. LaMelo Ball (27 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists) makes a three-pointer 4/4, and Charlotte inflicts 32-12 on the Warriors for the advantage (96-91)!

Steve Kerr’s men, however, rallied and found skill. Brandin Podziemski’s three-point shooting (19 points, 5/7 from 3-point range) and newfound defensive intensity allowed them to start the final quarter with a 13-4 lead to regain control of the game (111-104).
Brandon Miller (33 points), Colin Sexton (16 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds) and Kon Knuepel (20 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds) are trying as hard as they can to get back on the scoreboard, but Stephen Curry, Draymond Green (10 points, 12 assists, 8 rebounds) and Willors Richardwich continue to score for Warrie.
WHAT TO REMEMBER
– The Warriors’ bench depth made the difference. The substitutes of Golden State largely won the duel against their colleagues from Charlotte: 61 to 29! Thanks especially to Brandin Podziemski and Guy Santos, the Warriors bench finished the match with a score of 13/24 with 3 points. Steve Kerr could also count on good minutes from DeAnthony Melton, Will Richard and Gary Payton II to support Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler (19 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds). Al Horford reached 1,000 career 3-pointers and became the third player in history after LeBron James and Dirk Nowitzki to surpass 9,000 rebounds, 1,000 blocks and 1,000 three-pointers.
– Brandon Miller remains on cloud nine. Two days after tying his season-high 31 points against Milwaukee, Brandon Miller went one better last night. He finished the match with 33 points on 14/29 shots. If he wasn’t skilled from long range (3/12), he was unplayable from the rim (11/17 on 2-pointers). A good sign for 2026.
– Moussa Diabate and Tidjane Salaun discreet. The two Frenchmen from Charlotte played quite poorly for this last match of the year. Diabate did not score a single point with his 8 rebounds in 28 minutes of play. Tijane Salaun scored 6 points in 17 minutes, but often suffered defensively against Golden State’s movement.
