Giannis ready to ‘dress’ after calling out teammates

Since Giannis Antetokounmpo is back from injuryhe seems more dedicated than ever Milwaukee Bucks, despite all the trade rumors that have surfaced. He has led them to some wins since his return, but suffered a tough loss to the Washington Wizards before the new year.
The Wizards are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference, and Antetokounmpo knows that if the team wants to continue climbing the standings, these are the wins they need. After the game, he the teammates shouted for some of the bad habits they had.
“Sometimes it’s just hard when some people try to do the right thing and other people don’t try to make plays. It can be discouraging at times,” Antetokounmpo said via . “I’ve been part of teams, really good teams, where two, three, four guys try to do the right thing, and they do it, I think, and drag everybody else along.”
“And I’ve been on teams where two, three guys are trying to do the right thing, and three, four guys aren’t trying to do the right thing, and it’s pulling the team in the wrong direction.”
This Bucks team probably won’t be able to survive without Antetokounmpo, and they showed that while he was off the court. Antetokounmpo knows he has to be the focal point of everything they do, and he’s willing to be the hero if he has to.
“As a leader, I just have to get better,” Antetokounmpo said. “I’ve got to be better defensively. I’ve got to be better. I’ve got to move the ball more. I’ve got to play more. I think the offense has to play more around me. I feel like I’m only getting the ball in the positions I have to score. I’ve got to play better and also try to score. Get back to what I’m doing, put the cape on.”
