Treo Young’s injury means Knicks fans can’t verbally attack him

The Atlanta Hawks will face the New York Knicks, and the villain from Madison Square could enter the arena for the match. Trae Young missed the previous two games for the team with contusion of the right quadrilateral and is listed as suspicious with the same injury ahead of their matchup against the Knicks.

Young probably wouldn’t be comfortable with having to sit out this game, as he and Knicks fans have a lot of history together. It all started in the 2021 playoffs when the Hawks swept the Knicks in the first round, and Young continued to troll the fans in nearly every game.

Since then, every time Young enters the building, there is a loud boo that you can actually hear on television. Yang doesn’t seem to mind much, and if anything, he’s hugging himself.

When the Knicks came to Atlanta to face the Hawks just a week ago, the fans traveled well and booed Young in their own arena. That’s how deep the hatred between him and Nyx is.

If Young does end up playing, expect the same thing to happen, and it’s always fun to watch since Young is such a competitor.

It would also be huge for Young to adjust to his team as they try to dig themselves out of the hole they created towards the end of 2025. It was a seven game losing streak for the Hawks and the defense was the worst it has looked this season as they continued to give up 125+ points to all of their opponents.

They managed to end the year on a high note after getting win against the Minnesota Timberwolvesand Young is out with a right quad contusion. Hopefully he is close to returning so he can help the team.
