Jordi Fernandez still likes NI’s fight despite Wizards loss

The Brooklyn Nets down 119–99 to Washington Wizardsand the numbers were heavy. The Nets were outrebounded 51–33, and each player finished with a negative plus-minus. Despite this, Nets coach Jordi Fernandez focused on struggle and growth. He said, “I like the fight to the end … the guys never gave up. He pointed directly to the problems: defense and turnovers, especially in transition. Those swings, he said, became four- to six-point drives that quickly added up.”

Fernandez also emphasized patience with the players in their new roles and promised the staff would strive to be “1% better every day.” The effort is real. Results must follow. The Wizards’ matchup was terrible, but can the Nets turn the struggle into a win in the next game?
