Pat Spencer has words for the entire Thunder bench
The The Golden State Warriors basically took their Friday night matchup for granted against the Oklahoma City Thunder as a scheduled loss as they rested Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green as the defending champions. Even then, the players the Warriors had on the court who were supposedly hung out to dry gave it their all – with Pete Spencer refusing to quit early in their eventual 131-94 loss to OKC.
Spencer found himself in the left corner towards the end of the first quarter. With the movement of the clock and him standing close on the Thunder bench, the Warriors guard exchanged heated words with Lugents Dort, prompting the official to whistle the former for a technical foul.
It’s not entirely clear what Spencer said, but it’s clear that he didn’t take too kindly to everything he heard from Dort. There must have been an expletive or two hurled at each other, and the frustration coming from the Warrior Guard could not have been more palpable.
Spencer, who played 31 minutes off the bench in the 37-point loss, had three points, three rebounds and 11 assists on 1-8 shooting from the field. He was a game-worst -41 for the Warriors.
The Warriors look to pick things up for the second night in a row

The Warriors are in the midst of another back-to-back streak, which is why they made the business decision to rest their key guys against the Thunder. They he would probably lose against OKC even at full strength anyway, which is why they’re focusing on playing better against the Utah Jazz instead.
The Jazz have also rested key guys of late, with Keyonte George, Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkic all questionable for their Saturday matchup against the Warriors. Utah has been more competitive than expected this season, so the Warriors can’t take anything for granted.
