Did Steve Kerr hint that Jonathan Kuminga’s time in Golden State is coming to an end?

“Right before the game,” Kerr said.

When asked if there was any concern the injury could linger, Kerr offered some clarity.

“I don’t know. I have no idea.”

The lack of detail stood out given the circumstances. Cummings was expected to get heavy minutes against Oklahoma City, his first appearance since the Warriors lost to the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 18. His return was expected largely because Golden State entered the game shorthanded, with several key players unavailable.

Notably, Kerr didn’t mention Cummings while laying out his expectations for the next game, a detail that didn’t quell questions about where the young forward sits in the team’s short- and long-term plans.
