Devin Booker Reveals Message Before Dagger 3 Against Thunder

PHOENIX – Devin Booker returned to Phoenix Suns bench after the Oklahoma City Thunder and Jaylen Williams tied the game with eight seconds left. In all-too-familiar territory, Booker remembered what was on his mind.
“It’s our turn,” he recalled after the game.

Almost eight seconds later, Booker sealed the Suns’ 108-105 comeback win with a 35-foot daggerboard behind the bow. It was an incredible hit, even by his standards.
Alex Caruso is in fierce competition, even bringing in an extra defender just before Booker got hit. As the Mortgage Center erupted, all he gave was a simple nod before his teammates booed him.
He finished the game with 24 points, six rebounds and nine assists with only one three-pointer, which came in the final seconds. Sunday’s contest looked to be one of Booker’s most complete games of the season, capped off by a miraculous finish.
Devin Booker had every confidence in his game-winner for the Suns
He has been in this position countless times in his career. However, this is the first game-winner he has had at home this season. The first one went to Colin Gillespie against the Minnesota Timberwolves back in November.
Fast forward to New Years and Booker brought some of that clutch gene in 2026. However, winning is about much more than one player. Against the best team in the NBA, they endured an 18-point deficit.
After suffering a 49-point loss the last time they competed, this seemed like good revenge. Admittedly, that match was without Booker.
However, the game winner was the cherry on top of a well-deserved comeback win. Now they will have to travel to Houston in a back-to-back and take on the Rockets.
Maybe Booker’s luck for game winners can carry over to Monday.
