The Rockets will return to China in a few months
“NBA China Games” 2026 are officially scheduled. The NBA announcement as well as on Mavericks and the Rockets will play two preliminary matches at the Venetian Arena in Macau, on October 9 and 11!
After the return of the league in 2025 with the duel of the Suns and Nets in the same room, the NBA continues its relaunch in the Chinese market, relying again on its local partner Sands China, a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands, which owns a number of casinos in Macau and Singapore … but also the Mavericks.
The choice of Rockets for the opponent is not trivial. The Texas franchise remains one of the most popular in China since the Yao Ming era and has been at the heart of it since the fight in 2019. As for Dallas, owner Patrick Dumont has already hinted to the Chinese press that a Mavs-Rockets matchup is in the works: it’s official.
