Trae Young ‘open minded’ to trade possibility
All signs are reportedly pointing to Atlanta Hawks decide on Tree Young’s future with the teamalbeit with the only team he’s ever played for or elsewhere, according to a new report. The latest on the trade rumors surrounding Young suggest he’s open to either, as the Hawks have shown growth in Trey’s absence amid missing a fifth straight game with a right quad contusion.
He is allegedly young not looking for a tradebut he’s open to the idea, according to ESPN’s Mark Spears.
“I hear he’s trying to be very careful about this. This is a guy who saw Kevin Durant leave Oklahoma City as a kid, and saw what it was like, and he wants to continue to have a connection with Atlanta,” Spears said. “So I don’t think he’s asking for a trade, but I don’t think he’s telling them not to trade him. I hear he’s open to moving him. He and Porzingis haven’t played much together yet. We don’t know what that looks like yet.
“But without an extension, given that Tree has been blamed for a lot of things – fair or unfair – I think he would certainly be open to a new uniform.”

While the Hawks are an unimpressive 15-12 this season, without Young, players like Nikhil Alexander-Walker, who is averaging 20.7 points, have stepped up. Many see a pretty fluid offense without Young, while others are eager to see what a full-strength Atlanta team would look like with Young at the helm.
Trae Young has logged just 10 games this season. Kristaps Porzingis played in just 15.
The Trae Young trade is reaching its climax for the Hawks

As the trade frenzy around him reaches fever pitch, the Hawks Trae Young is undoubtedly hearing trade rumors surrounding his names. This is not the first time for Yang, but this time trade buzz is louder than it’s ever been, according to The Athletic’s Sam Amico.
“League sources say the Hawks, who have seen so many promising signs during that stretch without Young, are more open to contract talks for him than ever,” Amick wrote. “Still, in the absence of clarity regarding legitimate suitors, and with league sources indicating that Young’s market is considered minimal, it remains entirely possible that the Hawks will have to deal with his situation in the summer.”
Young will be a player to keep an eye on before the trade deadline.
