Yegor Demin sends the Magic game to OT with an ultra-clutch triple
The Brooklyn Nets suffered a painful 104-103 loss to the Orlando Magic after Paolo Banchero hit the game-winning 3-point shot at the buzzer in overtime, but not before the rookie guard Egor Demin showed that it also has clutch genes.
With the Nets trailing the Magic by three points in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, Demin found himself wide open behind the arc, where he received a pass from Day’Ron Sharp. Demin delivered for Brooklyn at that point, as he did nailed a three-pointer to tie the score at 93-93 with 4.9 seconds left in the game.
Magic got the ball back, but Banchero missed a deep shot, saving the score and forcing overtime.
Brooklyn was down by 15 points early in the fourth quarter, but a spirited comeback bid brought the Nets so close to completing the come-from-behind victory.
Unfortunately for Demin, his clutch shot ultimately fell short, as the Magic left the Barclays Center in Brooklyn with their 21st win of the season. As for the Nets, they fell to 11-23 overall and 5-14 at home so far in the 2025-26 NBA regular season.
