DC reveals the Aaron Rodgers trait he’s preparing for against the Steelers

Houston Texas Defensive coordinator Matt Burke knows that Aaron Rodgers is still arguably the Pittsburgh Steelers’ biggest weapon they have, even at the age of 21.
Burke knows Rodgers is still capable of putting a team on his back, as solid as his secondary has been all year. The 49-year-old coach is especially preparing for Rodgers’ accuracy, which he told reporters is veteran “most elite” trait.
“It still looks about the same,” Burke said, via KPRC 2 Houston’s Aaron Wilson. “He still has a lethal arm. I will say, over the years, one of the biggest separating factors for me is accuracy. He can still put the ball wherever he wants. Back shoulder, downfield, over somebody, short — wherever he needs to put it, the ball will be there. So we’ve got to be good about our coverage leverage.”

The Texans’ top five secondary allowed just 185.4 passing yards per game in the regular season, sixth fewest in the league. They allowed the seventh fewest yards per pass and the third lowest completion percentage.
However, they have been more vulnerable through the air down the stretch, allowing over 200 passing yards in each of the last four games. Houston enters the playoffs a week after winning torched by rookie Riley Leonard in his first career startalbeit with many starters sitting.
Rodgers enters the playoffs on a hot streak, averaging 247.2 passing yards, 1.0 touchdowns and zero interceptions over his last five games. The Steelers went 4-1 during that time to win the AFC North and make a last-minute wild card berth.
Rodgers’ departure has been the key to the Steelers’ success all year. He averaged 220.5 passing yards on a 70.7 completion percentage in Pittsburgh’s 10 regular-season wins, but just 186.2 passing yards on a 57.7 percent completion rate in the seven losses.
