Victor Wembanyama does it all with a slam dunk combo against the Celtics
Victor Vembanyama showed off his incredible versatility on both sides of the ball during San Antonio Spurs match against Boston Celtics on Saturday night.
Vembanjama is making great strides during his third NBA season with the Spurs. His ability to play on both sides of the ball at an elite level has allowed him to lead San Antonio into the playoff conversation.
That remained the case with one of his highlights against Boston. A performance it took place at the beginning of the fourth quarter after blocking one of Jaylen Brown’s shot attempts, went on a fast break and threw down a fierce one-handed dunk.

It was a great two-way game for Victor Vembanyama, leading the Spurs to a 100-95 road win over the Celtics.
San Antonio took a while to get going, trailing 55-50 at halftime. Despite this, they gained control by outscoring Boston 50-40 in the final 24 minutes of the game.
Free throws made the difference in this match. The Spurs won this category with 14 of 20 attempts at the line. It wasn’t the same for the Celtics as they knocked down just three of four shots at the charity stripe.
Four players scored in double figures for San Antonio in the win, including Vembanyama. He led the way with 21 points, six rebounds, three blocks and one assist. He shot 8-of-17 from the field, including 1-of-4 from beyond the arc and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Next is De’Aaron Fox with 21 points and nine rebounds, Keldon Johnson had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Julian Champagne had 12 points and 13 rebounds.
San Antonio improved to 26-11 on the season, holding second place in the Western Conference standings. They are two games ahead of the Denver Nuggets and 2.5 games ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves while trailing the Oklahoma City Thunder by 4.5 games.
Spurs will look forward to their next match, staying on the road. They face the Timberwolves on January 11th at 7pm ET.
