Jay Huff embarrasses the Celtics with a last ditch dunk
Are the Indiana Pacers turning the corner? Maybe they just are. On Monday night, the Pacers won their third straight game, taking advantage of a Jaylen Brown-less Boston Celtics en route to a 98-96 victory. This latest win by the Pacers is thanks to a Victory float by Pascal Siakamwho broke away from Derrick White and floated home a high tear over Neemias Cueto to seal the victory.
While Siakam has deservedly grabbed the headlines after emerging as a hero for the Pacers, as he has been for the team all season, the entire team has been getting its swagger back lately, and that shouldn’t go unnoticed. In particular, Jay Huff is back to making fools of his defenders using his famous reverse dunk package.
On Monday night, Huff had another significant moment. With two Celtics defenders able to make three-pointers in the second quarter, the Pacers center, rather surprisingly, put the ball on the floor and drove all the way to the basket. But instead of settling for a stupid jam with one hand, Huff found a way to dunk the ball in reverse, which he became known for throughout his career.

Huff finished the night with 20 points on 8-12 shooting from the field, two steals and one block — re-emerging as a key piece for this depleted Pacers team.
Jay Huff is the goaltender for the Pacers

Doc Huff is not a long-term solution for the Pacers center, they did well to acquire him low from the Memphis Grizzlies this past offseason. At the very least, Huff is a shot-blocking machine (he’s the current league leader in blocks) and can knock down threes. That skill set deserves a home in the NBA, and Indiana needs to make sure it stays there for the foreseeable future.
Huff would be an amazing backup for the Pacers as they look to get back to their fighting ways next season.
