Ja Morant’s first public comments since the bomb trade update

It’s been almost a week since the report that he The Memphis Grizzlies were open to trading Ja Morantwhich has left some surprised, while others think it’s only a matter of time. There have been several of Morant’s teammates talking about trade rumors, but we haven’t heard from the man himself – until now.
Morant could talk to the press as he wants to play in Berlin and London against the Memphis Grizzlies, but was also asked about the ongoing trade rumors. He didn’t have much to say about them, and replied that he had to live with it, according to ESPN.
There are reportedly teams looking to acquire Morant, and the Grizzlies are looking for draft picks and young players in return. At the same time, some teams are wary of trading for him, especially because of his injury history, style of play and contract.
Morant means a lot to some people in the organization, including Jaren Jackson Jr., with whom he played the longest on the team. Jackson recently addressed the rumors surrounds Morant and says it’s basketball, but it’s still his brother.
“(Morant) is still showing up to games, he’s still around,” said Jackson’s Chris Dodson of Clutch Points. “You can understand the mood with something like (trade rumors). Especially with someone like him, who just goes viral to freak out about anything. It’s just intense. I’ve always said, like, we’ve all grown up in the public eye, but it’s just intense,” the former defensive player of the year added. “Again, I feel for him. That’s my brother. That side of the game plays out like it does. Regardless, he changed my life coming here.”
The Grizzlies don’t appear to be rushing to find a replacement, and if they can’t find a suitor before the deadline, they face the offseason.
