Devin Booker’s injury status for Pistons showdown after scare and heat

On Thursday night, Phoenix Suns will hit the floor for a game against the Detroit Pistons as they continue their Eastern Conference journey. The The sun is going down narrow loss to the Miami Heat earlier this week, in a game where Devin Booker had a brief fear of injury after an awkward fall on the leg.
Earlier in the day on Thursday, the Suns announced preliminary injury report for the game against the Pistons, and it also featured Booker, who was listed as questionable with a sprained left ankle. Meanwhile, Royce O’Neal likely has a left bicep contusion.
For the Pistons, Jalen Duren and Tobias Harris are both listed as probable on the injury report.
The Suns have been one of the biggest surprise stories of the early NBA season, currently sitting at 24-16 heading into their matchup with the Pistons. Phoenix was considered by many to be a rebuilding team entering this season after trading Kevin Durant last offseason, especially considering that the main player they acquired from the Houston Rockets in exchange for Durant, Jaylen Green, barely played in Phoenix due to injury.
However, the Suns got unexpected production from Dillon Brooks, who is playing at a borderline All-Star level for Phoenix this year, as well as other players like Colin Gillespie, to climb up the Western Conference standings.
Of course, Booker is still the head of the snake in Phoenix, and the fact that he is listed as questionable for the Pistons matchup is certainly good news, indicating that the ankle injury is nothing too serious, even if he is unable to dress Thursday night.
Either way, the Suns and Pistons will kick off at 7:00 PM ET from Detroit.
