Cooper Flagg improved the injury report against the Knicks

The Dallas Mavericks will take on the New York Knicks in their next matchup, and could return a key player for the game. Cooper Flagg missed the previous two games with a sprained left ankle, but the Mavericks managed to stay afloat, winning both games.
However, the good news is that they could soon bring it back to how it was upgraded on injury reportaccording to Kevin Gray Jr. from DLLS Mavs.
“Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg has been upgraded to QUESTIONABLE (sprained left ankle) for tomorrow afternoon against the Knicks. Daniel Gafford (sprained right ankle), PJ Washington (personal reasons) and D’Angelo Russell (illness) have all already been ruled out,” the former Gray tweeted on X.
There’s no question the Mavericks have been better the last few weeks with Flagg on the floor, and he’s starting to process things better in his rookie season. Even head coach Jason Kidd knows that having Flagg on the floor makes all the differenceespecially in clutch games.
“When you have Cooper Flagg, it makes clutch plays a little bit easier,” Kidd told reporters before the game. “Just realizing that we’re practicing these moments in practice … Some of these close games we’ve made it, but we’ve lost some of them. Both scenarios we can learn from.”
With several injuries the Mavericks dealt with during the season, Flagg had to grow up perhaps faster than he anticipated. At the beginning of the season, he played point guard, which is not his normal position, but he still managed like a professional. When Kidd brought him back to be on the ball less, he began to blossom, and he looks like the player everyone expected him to be in his first season in the league.
