There is no imminent return for Zacharie Risacher and Kristaps Porzingis

Zachary RisacherThe Hawks envisioned a completely different scenario for usher in a “post Trae Young” era. But since the trade that sent their former leader to Washington, the machine has stalled. Quin Snyder’s men bounced back to four straight losses, including tough losses against the Lakers, Blazers and Celtics.

The transition was obviously not made easier by the absence of the trio Dyson Daniels – Zachary Rizacher – Kristaps Porzingis. If Dyson Daniels’ return against the Bucks yesterday brought some rhythm and intensity despite the loss, we’ll still have to wait before we see Zachary Rizacher and Kristaps Porzingis again. The franchise has indeed announced that they are two players she would not be questioned again a week ago.

Bad luck follows Kristaps Porzingis

The Frenchman has not played since January 7 due to a bone bruise in his knee. A frustrating setback for Stefano’s son, who was held to the benchmark game against the Pelicans by 3 points (7/9) and just finished as his team’s leading scorer for the first time this season.

The case of Kristaps Porzingis is once again troubling. Leto’s season looks like an obstacle course: between his famous “STOP” syndrome, which kept him off the field for several weeks, and repeated physical problems that complicate his return to form, nothing was spared. He too has not played since January 7, this time affected by tendinitis of the left Achilles tendon. Atlanta should therefore proceed with caution: the goal will be to ensure that its interior is completely rebuilt before restarting it.

On the schedule, the Hawks travel to Memphis tomorrow night before hosting Phoenix on Friday and Indiana on Monday. At best, Quin Snyder could hope to recover Zachary Rizacher and Kristaps Porzingis by the next meeting, scheduled in Boston on Wednesday. Atlanta will then need revenge: This weekend, the Georgia franchise fell behind by 43 points during a tough loss to the Celtics…
