Devin Booker surpasses Ja Morant as Dillon Brooks’ favorite player
The The Phoenix Suns shattered expectations and then some this year; expected to fall after the Kevin Durant trade, the Suns have embraced being the underdog and, in turn, become one of the toughest teams to face on a nightly basis. They are currently 27-17 on the season, which currently has them in sixth place in the Western standings, and much of the credit must go to Dillon Brooks because he set the tone for his team and gave his team an identity.
Brooks is the exact type of player that everyone would love to have on their side and despise when on the opposing team. The Suns are certainly grateful to have him on their team. And Brooks also embraced being the Sun with every part of himself. Actually, Brooks became so attached for the Suns of that franchise guy Devin Booker has become his favorite player to play with — surpassing I Morant.
Dillon Brooks asked who his favorite player to play with is:
“Book now. The book, then Me.”

Brooks was unceremoniously fired from the Memphis Grizzlies following their 2023 playoff exit, and Morant appears to be on Beale Street as well. The two have been through many wars together in the past. But Booker is now Brooks’ captain for whom he will lay everything on the line.
It’s time to accept what the Suns have long done: Dillon Brooks is a winning player

Brooks has drawn particular ire in the past for his poor shot selection and over-the-top gestures. The The grizzlies must have gotten tired his antics. But it’s no coincidence that Memphis slumped after Brooks left, while the Houston Rockets and Suns, Brooks’ two teams since then, have improved year after year.
The 30-year-old forward carries a winning mindset wherever he goes, and while he’s not perfect, he’s someone every team would want on the field in the heat of battle.
