When will Kyrie Irving be back?
It will be eleven months, at the beginning of February Kyrie Irving ruptured cruciate ligament. He hasn’t played since, although he was aiming at first return in Januaryand that’s why he tries to return as soon as possible, to help Mavericks to possibly find the top 10 of the Western Conference and above all free Cooper Flagg.
Currently on the margins, just like anthony daviesthe player he was supposed to bring with him dallas on top, but rubs more in the infirmary than on the courts, the leader of the All-Stars he never promised upon return besides that Texas fans are looking forward to it.
On the side of Jason Kiddhis coach, the uncertainty remains, but one thing is certain: he won’t play again before All-Star weekend in mid-February.
« There is nothing new » so he discovered. « I know there is a lot of speculation about it, but he works extremely hard. I spent time with him (Wednesday), he is in a good mood, he feels very well. At some point there will be a timetable for recovery, but for now there is none. Anyway, after seeing him this week, he’s working extremely hard. »
Ahead of the white season to encourage “tapping”?
This is not the first time that Jason Kidd calm things down for Kyrie Irving, although he would like to too return it as soon as possible. The problem is that it is useless to force the stature of a player who is almost 34 years old, by accident extended for three years last June.
« He wants to play, but when you come back from a torn cruciate ligament, it’s a matter of time » he then added. ” Mentally and physically we want to be 100% so that he manages these two points in the best possible way. But at some point there will be a timetable for recovery. »
As for those suggesting that Kyrie Irving won’t be back for the season because the Mavericks could go into tanking mode and because Anthony Davis isn’t even sure he’ll be back (or staying…), Jason Kidd responds that “ nothing to do with ».
« What matters is that he feels capable, mentally and physically, to play at the highest possible level and under his own conditions. Not anyone’s » added the Dallas coach.
