Domantas Sabonis of the Kings is drawing trade interest outside of the Raptors

As Sacramento KingsDomantas Sabonis trade rumors continue to pick up ahead of schedule, Toronto Raptors are just one of many teams that have expressed interest in the three-time All-Star. While it is The Raptors have been linked to the Kings’ Sabonisthere are reportedly three additional teams with eyes on the 6-foot-10 forward.

Either way, Sabonis is expected to be moved before the trade deadlineaccording to Sam Amico of the Athletic.

“Domantas Sabonis is still worth monitoring in the coming weeks,” Amick reported. “When Toronto rolled through town on Wednesday, it wasn’t that hard to imagine him donning a Raptors jersey any time soon. While Washington, Phoenix and Chicago are known to be interested in Sabonis, league sources have confirmed reports that Toronto is a legitimate possibility as we approach the deadline.”

While the Raptors appear to be the favorite to trade for Sabonis before next month’s trade deadline, the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards are reportedly hoping to get a deal done as well.

While big men across the NBA have been thrown into trade rumors, The Raptors are reportedly keeping their options open beyond Sabonis, according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.

“While it’s known Toronto would like to move below the tax line this season, this team also continues to see what big moves might be available to them, including stars like Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis at the top of the list,” Siegel said. “Sabonis is a very interesting name that has been consistently linked to Toronto, and league personnel continue to question any new information about the Raptors and Sabonis.”

“So much talk since the new year seems to have turned to Toronto and Sabonis, which can’t be a coincidence. Even so, the story of Sabonis in Sacramento remains quiet as he continues to work his way back from a partially torn meniscus in his left knee.”
