Early reports indicate that the 2026 edition will be true to the 1985 OG edition in terms of shape, materials and color scheme. The upper is made from premium leather, double stitched to complement the nylon tongue. The mid panels, fender, ankle collar and laces are done in black. The toe box, heel, overlay, Nike Swoosh and outsole are done in stunning royal blue to match the ‘Nike Air’ branding on the tongue.
The Air Jordan logo is embossed along the ankle flap, while the shoe is finished with a white midsole. We also see a white insole, a slight nod to the original as a derivative of previous releases.
The Air Jordan 1 “Royal” is expected to release on October 10th, 2026 as a tentative date, likely for a standard $185. The pair should come with OG packaging and will be seen in full size, available at Nike SNKRS and select Nike retailers.
