Derrick Rose reflects on his career ahead of his jersey retirement ceremony

“I’m going up there with them guys and I’m just a part of something that’s bigger than me,” Rose can be heard saying. “Every teammate. Every fan. Now we’re up there. I felt like I did my best. I felt like I was competing with everyone the way he played, which was extremely difficult. It all played out extremely well where my peers respected the way I played.”

Rose already is meeting the fans where they are before the ceremony. Recently he started a pop-up flower shop to give special roses to fans.
