Jordan Ott gives initial information on injuries to Devin Booker and Jalen Green
Friday night was a big disaster for Phoenix Suns how could it be. Not only did they lose their 14th straight game on the road against the Atlanta Hawks, but they also lost two key guys — their top scorers — in Devin Booker and Jalen Greenboth of them succumbed to trouble due to injuries and had to exit the game early.
Green felt the tendon tighten during the first quarter after a big drive to the basket against CJ McCollum, and this is a big concern considering this was only his second game back after a long layoff. And then to make matters worse for the Suns, they saw Booker turn his ankle on a freak play near the end of the third quarter, as the star guard rolled his ankle after accidentally stepping on the foot of Onyeka Okongwu.
Suns fans must be very concerned; their attack failed when the two were out of the game and they ended up losing. It will be difficult for them to generate buckets without those two. After the game, coach Jordan Ott gave a preliminary update about how the two work.
“I felt a little tightness. As a precaution, I took him out,” Ott said, referring to Green, via AZ Central’s Duane Rankin. “What happened to Book, right ankle. Pretty unfortunate.”
“It’s just hard. You feel them.”
“You feel for them.”

The suns have to weather the storm

The Suns have battled their way up all season and have managed to overcome one adversity after another. But losing Booker and Green on the same night Dillon Brooks went 4-18 (2-13 night after all) has to be the league’s most pleasant surprise.
Their next game is Sunday night against the Miami Heat, and the silver lining is that it will be at home for the Suns.
